Bass Bamboo Skin Brush

$21

This body brush from Bass Brushes with its pure bamboo handle and all natural bristles can be used on the skin both dry or wet. The firm bristles exfoliate dead skin, ensuring silky smooth healthy skin with minimal effort. It has a medium bristle strength and so is suitable for all skin types.
Simply work in a circular motion, starting with the arms and legs, working towards your heart. The detachable handle means you can use the head on its own if you like, to ensure you can access all those hard to reach places.
To keep the bristles clean and fresh, a regular spray of Tea Tree and allowing to fully dry properly will certainly keep your brush in check for longer. Remove excess water with a towel on the bristles after use as this will allow it to dry a lot quicker and reduce the risk of mildew formint.
Because the timber is natural and has not been treated with chemicals, plastics or lacquer the timber may crack if left in water for too long. However, if any cracks occur this will not affect the quality of the brush.

How to use
Dry body brushing is a technique used to exfoliate and cleanse your skin, promoting a healthy and glowing appearance. It has excellent health benefits including increased circulation, cellulite reduction, smoother skin and, importantly, body brushing detoxifies the lymphatic system.
How to dry body brush:
Precautions: Never brush over inflamed areas e.g. open wounds, inflamed sores, varicose veins, sunburnt skin, active cancer states, enlarged lymph nodes.
Generally stroke upward in one movement using light strokes and repeat 7 times.
Brush the left side of the body before moving to brush the right side. (or vice versa)
Adjust pressure to your comfort levels. A slight reddening of the skin (erythema) is normal, it is the blood circulation responding to the skin brushing.
Shower or bath immediately after body brushing to refresh the skin and wash away exfoliated cells.
